About Me
- Name: Stephen's Pictures
- Location: Arapahoe, Wyoming, United States
(Note: Blogs read from bottom to top; scroll down for beginnings, scroll up for most current.) After 30 years in public administration and four degrees, as well as numerous workshops with luminaries in Education and Public Policy, life in a slower lane became a goal. Most recently I have done policy writing and consulting for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribes. Mostly, I am just coasting slowly and gently downhill these days-seeking joy where I can find it before the glorious ride ends.

I reached this Flying J at 12:32 a.m. last night/this morning, walked the doggies, fed them, and dozed in the car. It is 6:20 a.m. Monday morning and I will repeat the routine before we hit the road. Right now I am subject to the ministrations of the world's most cheerful waitress- beinging "sweetie pied" out of a fat tip. This will likely be my last Flying J post-I am in solidly red Verizon Wireless country and will need the wifi service no longer. God Willing, I should pull into Deerfield this evening right on time. When he called last night Jason said that they had heavy rain yesterday. And don't let anybody tell you Wyoming has the worst winds- Alabama is no slouch in the wind department. I have had light rain and attendant weather since Kansas City and finally drove out of it in Dothan, Georgia- home of the INTERNATIONAL Peanut Festival.
