Picaresque

Picaresque is the adjective to describe writings about a common or low character who survives the pitfalls of life through luck or good fortune. My travels, interests, my animals, my photographs, my wonderful friends and family are featured.

(Note: Blogs read from bottom to top; scroll down for beginnings, scroll up for most current.) After 30 years in public administration and four degrees, as well as numerous workshops with luminaries in Education and Public Policy, life in a slower lane became a goal. Most recently I have done policy writing and consulting for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribes. Mostly, I am just coasting slowly and gently downhill these days-seeking joy where I can find it before the glorious ride ends.

The buzzard has landed

I spent the evening with my lovely Lori. Jason had to fly to New York and will be back tomorrow. The novelty of my trip had worn off about Birmingham, Alabama and today was all work. But we made it in one piece and scouted the propane place and looked at our site. It should do admirably. More sites are goiing in across the street and that does not thrill me but I can live with it. I visited with Pat Flynn and Marilyn from New Brunswick-their hubbies were off doing something golf related. Nice visit and nice to see some friendly faces. The park is nowhere near full from appearances.

Lori and I played with the dogs and yakked. She fed me my favorite seasonal food-leftover
Thanksgiving dinner. And we yakked some more. She is a peach.

Tomorrow we take turns with the dogs while she goes to Pilates and I retrieve the coach and set up camp.
