Picaresque

Picaresque is the adjective to describe writings about a common or low character who survives the pitfalls of life through luck or good fortune. My travels, interests, my animals, my photographs, my wonderful friends and family are featured.

(Note: Blogs read from bottom to top; scroll down for beginnings, scroll up for most current.) After 30 years in public administration and four degrees, as well as numerous workshops with luminaries in Education and Public Policy, life in a slower lane became a goal. Most recently I have done policy writing and consulting for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribes. Mostly, I am just coasting slowly and gently downhill these days-seeking joy where I can find it before the glorious ride ends.

Lush Life

This place is so friendly to living things. The peak of the spring blooms is passing but people plant wisely and something is being a knockout nearly all the time. These taken in Bear Creek park. I have my eye on some roses here at the motel for tomorrow pictures. We have been passing time pleasantly. Good meals mostly cooked and eaten outside. I babysat Audrey solo today but she was so desolate at being left by Namee that I cheated and took her to play with the neighbor kids until Anna didn't want to share anymore. So we came home and Audrey ate well and Namee returned and saved us both before potty time! Yay!
I have been working on migrating Eve's programs to a new computer. Always a bigger chore than one anticipates but so far nothing insurmountable. The local folks are busy. Matt's business is doing the security for an Ultimate Cage Fight this weekend- I don't know if he is announcing for this event or not. I may sneak off to the coast for a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean. Buster is being so good but I think he is a little bored. We need to do something to get his motor running.
