Picaresque

Picaresque is the adjective to describe writings about a common or low character who survives the pitfalls of life through luck or good fortune. My travels, interests, my animals, my photographs, my wonderful friends and family are featured.

(Note: Blogs read from bottom to top; scroll down for beginnings, scroll up for most current.) After 30 years in public administration and four degrees, as well as numerous workshops with luminaries in Education and Public Policy, life in a slower lane became a goal. Most recently I have done policy writing and consulting for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribes. Mostly, I am just coasting slowly and gently downhill these days-seeking joy where I can find it before the glorious ride ends.

Beautiful Visit to Oregon

What a great visit! Had a wonderful time with family. Although I spend longer time in Florida, the family visits there are about one a week. More intense in Oregon because the motorhome is in Florida! We did something every day. Got Eve's computer updated, spoiled the granddaughter a little-how did she know Grampie in Toys-R-Us was a slam-dunk? There is a feminine gene or six in that little critter-she was hauling a pink chair and a matching purse behind the shopping cart.

Ate well...a little too well.

Spring is a great time to travel in the west because greenery has a limited life span in some arid areas. I think I hit it just right this time and had a great time playing at photographer. Google is offering a new feature which embeds a slideshow link in the Blog. I am testing it out. Hope you enjoy the pictures (you have to click to go there):
