Picaresque

Picaresque is the adjective to describe writings about a common or low character who survives the pitfalls of life through luck or good fortune. My travels, interests, my animals, my photographs, my wonderful friends and family are featured.

(Note: Blogs read from bottom to top; scroll down for beginnings, scroll up for most current.) After 30 years in public administration and four degrees, as well as numerous workshops with luminaries in Education and Public Policy, life in a slower lane became a goal. Most recently I have done policy writing and consulting for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribes. Mostly, I am just coasting slowly and gently downhill these days-seeking joy where I can find it before the glorious ride ends.

Tulips in bloom in October 2005 in Medford, Oregon. The trip to see my granddaughter. Now there is a creation to wonder at! Reviving the blog getting ready to go south in December when the hurricane season is OVER. Just hope Mother Nature got the memo from the National Weather Service. Alas I will bypass my favorite haunts in Longbeach and Biloxi. They are GONE. Too sad to see just yet and I am not at all sure what services are available along that stretch. Left my Jeep in Florida last year and I am told it came through Wilma just fine. I was glad it was there so the kids could used that fat-tired 4X4 if they needed it. Posted by Picasa
